Opeth - Damnation - 2003
Opeth - Pale communion - 2014
Ozric Tentacles - Erpland [CD/DVD] - 1990
Ozric Tentacles - Jurassic shift [CD/DVD] - 1993

Yes - Going for the one - 1977
Yes - Classic Yes - 1981
Yes - Magnification - 2001
Dweezil Zappa - Return of the son of... - 2010

So... I was completing a lot of discographies (Arthur H, Hiromi, Opeth, Steely Dan, White Willow, Yes) and discovering new and not-so-new artists/bands (David Marin, Ozric Tentacles, Dweezil Zappa)... 8-)

Well, I've just discovered a very good band - KARCIUS - and bought all of their (4) albums. They are from my home town (Montreal, Canada).

Listen to this !!! A very nice jazz-prog-rock style with a TFK touch!! :) (wowie, you'll love this!)

The real fun part begins @ 3:42.

In fact, the keyboard player is a friend of a colleague of mine.

Last cd I bought was Oblivion Sun's self titled debut.
Yesterday, however, I ordered The Scorpions' second album, Fly To The Rainbow :)

Since my last post I've ordered - and received - The Scorpions debut album, Lonesome Crow, and the remastered edition of Blue Murder's self-titled debut. I've also got on order Uli Jon Roth's recent release, Scorpions Revisited, where he's re-imagined many of the early Scorpions' songs that he helped write or otherwise had a hand in and played on. Looking forward to that arriving too. ;)

Are they special editions? remasters? remixes? surround sound? Or just plain old original releases?

As far as I know they've never been remastered yet. These are just the old original releases. If they ever do get remastered I may well be tempted to upgrade them. ;)

Well, my latest acquistion duly dropped through the letterbox yesterday:

Robin Trower - Original Album Series

This includes his first four studio albums plus a live one called, amazingly enough, Live!

All albums are remastered and sound fantastic. A bargain at just over a tenner. Each album comes in a cardboard sleeve with the original album artwork on it, and they all fit neatly into a nice slipcase. Highly recommended! 8-)

Well, most of them were rather cheap and/or used... I'm getting better at finding CD's for a good price online...

And I just don't listen to T.V... that could explain my interest in CD's! :)

My two latest acquisitions arrived on Friday:

Anima Mundi - Jagannath Orbit and The Way

Two super albums which at times have a strong Flower Kings and Yes vibe.

Great stuff! 8-)

Today my latest purchase arrived:

Spock's Beard - The First Twenty Years.

I had a copy of this, a download, sent to me by a friend quite a while ago. I've listened to it loads and found it so impressive I just had to buy a physical copy for myself.

Great stuff indeed! 8-)

A great masterpiece (at least when you are a fan over electronic music ;)) think 'X' is one of
the best albums Klaus Schulze ever did.

Which version of 'X' did you get? moreover on what label is your copy. Just asking because
over the past 10-15 years orso there have been a lot of 'more or less unauthorised releases'
of old(er) Klaus Schulze albums which were sometimes not even taken from master-recordings.
Also Klaus himself did some re-works of older material when they were due for re-release by
a different label, sometimes deeply regreted by him afterwards , after which, when the contract
was over, yet another more true to the Original version release made available via another record
company....

Indeed, a rather big mess at some points in which he was even personally involved in some ocasions....
