It has nothing to do with Kaipa Da Capo.
It's a recording session for....... (I say nothing)
The pictures was posted in the beginning of mars.

Don't know if i understand you correctly but maybe the answer you are looking for is : these pictures were posted a little while
back by Roine Stolt via his Facebook. I don't do anything via/on Facebook so for me they are also new! :)

Kaipa daCapo will do a few shows in Sweden next year. And an album...
From Roine on Facebook:
"No dates set yet - will let you all know ......just planning it. The idea is to do "warm up shows" for our coming recording - that is meant to be the good old way - 5 guys playing in a room . (nice studio) - so ultimately this means we might play 3 or 4 totally new songs !!! the first new "kaipa" music played live since late 70's. Sure, we like to do both US, UK and Rest of Europe - but after the record is out. - Send us offers ....!!!"

Good news, but it feels rather strange to have two active bands under the "Kaipa" name... ?!?

Hardly unprecedented, though (BJH, Wishbone Ash etc.), so I don't mind at all... - especially as Roine's lot have come up with a considerably more stylish way of distinguishing themselves from Hans Lundin's group than many other similar bands who often operate as "This-and-this's That".

Personally, I'm very happy there are 'two' Kaipa bands active. I loved the original band and also Hans's modern take on them. I suspect Roine's version will be closer to the original Kaipa sound when it comes to new material so that will just give us more to enjoy. (That's my view anyway and I can't wait to hear some new 'old style' Kaipa music. ;) )

Great news! I only hope the new material is in Swedish just like the old stuff - this would also help distinguish KDC further from Hans Lundin's band.

What can I say? This is excellent throughout, stylistically very much in keeping with what Kaipa were about in the 70's. The music is also very traditionally-minded in that there are no distinct "modern" influences or nods to metal that much of the present day prog is prone to. Of course, with Roine being the main writer, there are bits and pieces that wouldn't sound out of place on a Flower Kings album. Funnily enough, though, the song that most reminds me of TFK is the one written by the keyboard player Max Lorentz (Tonerna), although even here the arrangement and the execution don't stray from band's deliciously "vintage" approach.

I like it.
A mix between Eggs and Dogs and Agent of Mercys Black Forest-album, I think.
The stand out tracks so far after I listened twice is "När jag var en pojk", Michaels "Spår av vår tid" and Max Lorentz "Tonerna".
Roine sings on one track.
Tonerna was a surprise, starts with an instrumental opening and I thought, this is the instrumental showpiece for the keyboard player, but then Max starts to sing. He sings really well.

This is an excellent release, Swedish language singing is not my cup of tea but this all sounds wonderful, hope more is to come. Anybody knows the album of Michael Stolt? I like his composition on the album

Hi all, unfortunately the Kaipa da Capo gig which was planned for coming saturday 11/2 in De Pul - Uden/The Netherlands is cancelled due to poor ticketsales,
so there is now only one gig remaining in The Netherlands which is on Friday 10/2 in Hedon - Zwolle. Due to the fact this about 200km extra by car i
won't be able to make it unless i should decide to take at least half a day off from work, but i am not going to do this for a Kaipa da Capo concert so instead i will
ask for a refund of my Uden ticket... and i wonder how many people will actually show up on a friday night in Zwolle at a venue which has, in contrast with the one
in Uden, no 'prog reputation' at all.

Understood from Roine this choice was made by the promotor of the gigs and was beyond the band's control :( :?
