Just bought the remastered version of an old favourite:

Citizen Cain - Serpents In Camouflage

I heard it years ago, but never had a copy myself. This was their debut album. I already had their second album though, Somewhere But Yesterday, and that's an excellent album too, probably their best one.
For those who have never heard of them, this band genuinely sound like Genesis around '73 or '74, mainly due to singer Cyrus's uncanny vocal resemblance to Peter Gabriel, and keyboard player Stewart Bell's playing being very influenced by Tony Banks at times. Worth a listen for those who love Genesis. (They also sound a bit like early Marillion at times). ;)

does he wear the glasses all the day? Or only when he is the quartermaster?
Impressive karate moves ... reminds me to Elvis ... but Elvis was bit more expressionistic.
And this video convinces me, we should overlay the front singer over all music videos ... the whole time ... so you know who is singing

...and now for something completely different:

Arena - Pride

I like all the Arena albums, but this one is probably my least favourite. Still enjoyable though :)

Been hammering IQ over the last few days.
Firstly, I watched the Subterranea dvd, then I watched both discs of the Stage dvd from the Dark Matter tour, then today I watched the live performance of The Wake album filmed in Holland in 2010. (Also listened to the live cd of The Wake last night too). All great stuff! 8-)

...
we should open a production company, "doing great videos for great complex music" ... we will reform the biz!
;)

my fave tunes from ED+E are JUDAS & ONE at the moment
Ebony & Ivy is great too ... its like Zeuhl meets Script for a Jesters T. (the inner monologue) meets funk

Currently listening to:

IQ - Tales From The Lush Attic - the 2013 remix via youtube.

This has never been a favourite album of mine, but the remix it has to be said is a great improvement. Far more listenable now. I might even end up buying it!

Been watching my latest acquisition:

Pendragon - Past And Presence

This is the deluxe edition with dvd and two cds, and it's superb. Should have got it long before now. Great to see the old band members on stage, such as Julian Baker, who co-founded the band with Nick Barrett, keyboard players John Barnfield and Rick Carter, and drummer Nigel Harris.
This was a 2006 release of a concert to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the release of The Jewel, their debut album.
All the songs off that album are here, including a few extras. It was great to see, and hear, more obscure tracks such as Dark Summer's Day and Excalibur performed live. I recognised both titles but had never heard them till now. The live versions are fantastic, especially Dark Summer's Day. Also, there is a short track on it called Please which I'd never even heard of before, and that is excellent too. There is a version of 2AM off the Kowtow album which is quite emotional as Nick Barrett doesn't even pick up his guitar, but just sings the song to keyboard and sax accompaniment (played by Clive Nolan and Julian Baker respectively) and as he sings it, he jumps down into the crowd and lets them take pictures of him with them while he's singing.
The last song is called Stan & Ollie and has everyone on stage at the same time for a jam, which is fantastic. Sound quality is top notch and so is the picture quality too. (Nigel Harris isn't on the main show but there is film of him on the bonus video you get playing a few songs with them at a different venue).
I have also listened to the live cds and they are brilliant too.
Highly recommended to any Pendragon fan! 8-)
