Costa Rica'n fan

Postby arteaga85 » 26 May 2010, 03:05

Hi, Iv'e posted here some time ago and now after the Whirldtour I came back.

My name is Juan Manuel, I live in Costa Rica. I'm a complete prog maniac without being a musican. I'm an electrical engineer and I'm going next august to Barcelona to make Masters in electronics! I hope I see some of the best prog in Europe :D I hope to catch up with some of you there somewhre

I started listening to prog in 2003 when my cousin gave me some DT mp3, then in the spocks forum I heard so much about tfk that I went to my cd store and bought Unfold the Future without ever hearing TFK!!

My music taste goes like this:
TFK, Transatlantic, Spocks, Yes, Genesis, IQ
Darker stuff: Pain of Salvation, DT, Opeth, Porcupine
and older like: beatles, Led Zep
etc

this is a very good question!
First of all i think its a question if the band is popular in that country/city and if the last album was a killer :D
Then i think Italy and Spain always have good audience ;)
No really i think they have a very strong prog community.
Im not quite sure about Czech, because they have a very good rock and jazz culture. They play rock in discos like we do techno in germany.
The netherlands are always good for chilling moods and a surprise ;)
If you go to france, make sure you vist a zeuhl concert and if you go to scandinavia it should be jazz or deathmetal ....
;)
We should ask this question in the main forum ...
