Have you ever thought of listening to some Caravan? You should you know..... ;)

Caravan? Nah, probably not quite my thing, I should think. They're a death metal group, aren't they - all growly vocals and whatnot, like that one Swedish group you love.

I seem to regress alarmingly as I get older. At Christmas 1969 I got a 'Big Big Train' set from my parents (the only train set I have ever owned), only to find myself 47 years later listening to -

Big Big Train, English Electric

Pathetic, isn't it?

Caravan, In the Land of Grey and Pink

Decided to take up on chessman's recommendation after all...

Sod euros, I would imagine wowie makes his music purchases with a weighty wad of these -

Caravan, Better By Far

Where did everybody go? I wouldn't want to think I'm paranoid or anything, but it's been terribly quiet ever since I returned to the forum...

Now then NotSteven, I see you've taken note of my suggestion to play some Caravan, about time too.
As for that Swedish group who have growling vocals in them that I like, do you mean ABBA? (I love it when Agnetha growls at the camera ;) )

I do think it's time you parked that Caravan now though. Maybe try some Pink Machine, or Soft Floyd for a change? Or even James Hetfield and the South? (Just an idea...) :D

Who else? Now, don't tell me there are other groups in Sweden, too...

Yes, I could use a break, but someone broke the brake, so - for the time being - I am stuck in motion...

Is it "Absent Lovers", or another album that I don't know...?

Recently, I've been listening to King Crimson - The Elements - 2016 Tour Box. I like it! I've got all three boxes (2014, 2015, 2016) and each one has some nice gems. They are great for a fan like me!

:)

Sorry man my bad, it's from the last tour and was released as an official bootleg in the 'King Crimson collector;s club' however it was recorded in Toronto (and not Montreal  ) a complete unedited gig!,
i also own all three tour boxes and to top it off i also purchased the 'Radical action..... boxset as a 3cd/2dvd edition. So Dr. Fripp will have a pleasant and wealthy Xmass this year counting his 2016 income... ;))

Grobschnitt, Rockpommel's Land

As I get older, I seem to become alarmingly susceptible to outside influences. Yet again I find myself doing exactly as I have been told - not listening to Caravan, even though I probably would like to. I'm really losing my grip, am I not?

Thanks, wowie - that should help me tighten my grip.

Seasons greetings to all and sundry, with my favourite Xmas song -

Seeing as I am too lazy to translate the Finnish lyrics to you, I stole a brief description of its content from another website:
"The title roughly translates to 'Santa Claus Bites and Beats', and the lyrics describe a Christmas Eve at a home. A beardless Santa comes crashing through the door, beats the whole family up, steals the food and drinks, lets in the reindeer to eat everything green and leaves behind a crying family in a destroyed home."

Aahh, now that's more like it! A good, upbeat, chirpy, optimistic Christmas song from Finland that children everywhere can listen to and be comforted by. ;)

Personally, I would like to send a message next Christmas to every child in England, informing them that Santa has been involved in a serious accident - wasn't my fault his damn sleigh hit the electrified fence I have erected round the whole of Liverpool - and is currently fighting for his life. He is in an induced coma and having numerous blood transfusions and is on a permanent plasma drip, thus unable to deliver any presents - in fact, he can't even breath unaided - so children everywhere can enjoy the old fashioned art of making their own entertainment and stop bothering their parents for expensive gifts and other such nonsense that can run up unimaginably high debts on poor credit cards and end up with the entire family losing their home to loan sharks. Don't expect him to make a fast recovery either, in fact, don't expect any sort of recovery, full stop. (Anyone know of a good rescue centre for orphaned reindeer who's 'master' is currently on the critical list and soon to be transferred to a slab in the morgue?)

(Sadly, my good wife Susan doesn't seem to share this happy go lucky attitude of mine and thinks poor Santa should continue putting his back out every year hauling vast amounts of hideously heavy presents around the world just to pacify the little sods.....oh well, just a thought.)

And on that bright note, I would like to wish everyone on the forum a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Enjoy it everyone! :D

Wowie, and why did he put this message on facebook, was someone there telling him he was not or that TFK was no more or something like this?
i mean if/when we stick to Roine's words there is very little chance something TFK is going to happen in 2017... for musical as well as 'private/personal'
reasons.

This is really good, maybe a little less than Harmonium, but very good anyway. Do you know it? Fans of Kaipa and Supertramp should love it!

Kimbra is hot ... :D
Looks like she got the power of the Thriller and BAD record!!
Very curious about the next album!!!
So so danceable!!!

Had no idea that there are music performances at TEDx
